The biggest factor for me is the weight. The 14PM IS A BRICK. Why do you think apple switched to titanium, so their pro models would no longer feel so heavy in hand. The 15 Plus gives you all the advantages of the 14PM without the massive weight and better battery life. The 15 plus weights 201grams vs 240grams on the 14PM.
my 14 PM has been better. I use my phone moderately so I normally end my day with 50%. On heavy days like vacations, I can easily kill phone phone before the end of a long day. My friend got the 15 pro max but he hasn't had any problems with battery life. his seems to be doing better than my device.
7/8 Plus are very close in dimension to the Pro Max. Due to the "edge-to-edge" display on the Pro Max, it would be equivalent of using your 7 plus but reaching the top/bottom left/right bezel constantly. If you are comfortable with it, and pro max is within your price range, then yeah, go for the Pro Max.
But everything else was a minor upgrade, or in one case (battery life), even a slight downgrade. When the 12 Pro Max was new, I was getting over 34-36 hours easy between charges with average screen time. Now that's closer to 28-30 with the 14 Pro Max, but definitely not a deal breaker. In my book, anything over a day is still good.
If you don’t have hands problem, if you need the extra camera go for the heavier 13 pro which has less battery life compared to the 13, I think due to the adjustable screen hz. It’s all about your needs. Personally I returned the 13 pro due to the weight, bought the mini but I feel I need more screen so I’m probably going with the 13.
