Mk4 1.8T not starting - Not crank sensor. Discussion in ' 1.8 & 1.8T ' started by DiFontaine, Mar 20, 2015 . Ok so, I took my 20vT to work last Friday and it was fine. Came to it in the afternoon to go home and it just cranked and cranked and wouldn't fire into life. The fuel pump primes OK and it's getting fuel and all four coil leads are 100% agree. Before you go adding stuff, make sure what you have works. Replace the things that you will need to replace as time goes on, I hate the if its don't broke don't fix it ideology. Fix it once and do an upgrade while your at if you can. so here is the parts that you actually need: *A car with can bus system and DBW. *DSG gearbox of course! *Axles from the DSG car. *The left one axle should be shortened by 1 centimeter / 0.39 inches to fit perfectly, (shortened mine 1,5 cm and its too much.) *Starter. *Pilot bearing for flywheel.
